Immediately following my memorable encounter with KRS-ONE at Canada Music Week, I bumped into a most interesting fellow in the lobby of the Royal York hotel.
At first I thought he might be one of those evil Scientology guys, who for all I know might be following me around however it turned out to be none other then the great Minista Zin Uru from the Temple of Hip-Hop and all he wanted to do was to inform me about the gospel of the Temple.
The Temple of Hip-Hop was founded in 1996 By KRS-ONE, with the support of Professor Z, Chuck D, Big Daddy Kane, Kool DJ Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, Fat Joe, and many others, KRS-ONE also wrote a book that I urge you all to read entitled “The Gospel of Hip-Hop”, the book contains lot of real life pointers that might help you through your day.
For instance, did you know that Rap is something you do, but Hip-Hop is something you live?
What a great thing this Hip-Hop temple is, now only I could find myself the temple of new wave rock, then I’d be straight.
